LMG is shooting a music video for our up and coming artist B-Shel.  Staying true to music video tradition, we held a casting call to find hot video vixens.  Some thoughts:

1.  It’s pretty awkward watching a random girl dance sexily in front of complete strangers, trying to win their approval.  Hm, that sounds very much like a strip club…but on a professional level.  Imagine you have a job interview where your “interview” is to dance sexily in front of your future “bosses.”  Ah, the life of a video vixen. Ah, the life of a music video producer.

2.  One of the pop-locking-b-boys did some crazy hat maneuver that blew me away.  It shows that sometimes entertainment can be as simple as a boy and his hat…you know what I mean.

3.  I won’t mention any names, but if you ever find yourself in the position to cast dancers and there happens to be a video camera recording your face along with the dancer, make sure your mouth stays closed at all times.

B-Shel Music Video for “Girl You Da Bomb” going down March 7th at V Lounge in Santa Monica.  We are shooting on the RED ONE camera and will most likely get playtime on BET and MTV.  Email legendarymediagroup@gmail.com if you are interested in being an extra.

Been working on a lot of things.  The picture above is from a test shoot my buddy and I are doing for an upcoming music video.  Will give out more details later, but it involved a lot of running around getting strange looks from fellow Los Angelians.  So if you saw a Cobra Kai lookalike running through LA creating havoc, it was just me.

Our other artist, CHINGY is in Europe completing a SOLD OUT TOUR!  Getting ready to release his singles when he gets back.  Press relase with CHINGY LMG, BUNGALO and UNIVERSAL coming soon.  Big thing’s poppin’!

LMG just signed up and coming rock group SOUND OF SURRENDER.  They have a huge following on MySpace, over 3.5 Million hits!  Check out their songs.  We should be going into the recording studio soon, to record brand new tracks.  White guys that play ping pong rock!

My other company www.dgexhibit.com has been invited to showcase our product at NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND in Dallas!  Super excited, if I see Shaun Livingston I will pee my pants.

He will be back someday!  Believe!!!

This pretty much sums up my outlook for 2010.

A lot of stuff going on:

I)  Gearing up to shoot Chingy’s music videos.  There are two tracks we’re probably going to shoot in the next 3 months.  One of them is featuring Bobby Valentino and the other is featuring Nelly ( “Hot-in-hurrr-Nelly” not the “Promiscuous-Girl-Nelly”)  Both tracks sound really good, so be on the lookout for the singles as well as the videos.  Ching-A-Ling!

B)  Gearing up to shoot a music video for our new artist B-Shel.  “Girl You The Bomb”  It’s going to be a real fun video: let’s just say it’s going to involve some old people, some young people, a hot nurse, and a partridge in a pear tree.  Shazam!

3)  Check out www.bluecanvas.com They have a physical magazine out in nearly all Borders and Barnes and Nobles across the nation, and are just starting to get distributed worldwide.  They also have a really strong online community for artists and their artwork.  LMG will be shooting a few videos for them.  Vogue!

IV)  We’re talking to a men’s fragrance company to shoot their commercial for them.  Keeping our fingers crossed.  The founders used to play basketball for Arizona State.  We’ve agreed to play two on two to determine how much we will get paid.  They have agreed not to use their arms and hands.  I think we have a chance.  Hibatchi!

E)  Wrapping up a reality show idea/mini-pilot for model Lisa Kim Fleming.  We have some investors interested in pitching it to some networks in Asia as well as here in the US.  WaWaWeeWa!

As you can see it’s going to be a very busy year and it’s only January and we’re already On To The Next One!

Caught an advanced screening of the film NINE directed by Rob Marshall ( director of CHICAGO and MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA )  It was a very interesting film with a dream cast of talent ( Daniel Day Lewis, Judi Dench, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman )  Daniel Day Lewis gives an amazing performance as Guido Contini, maestro director of Italian Cinema.  Solid performances all around from the cast, stunning visuals and some cool musical numbers.  But overall, the film seems to be all over the place and you can’t really focus on the film itself.  Too much going on, but worth seeing for DDL’s performance.  Some cool songs from the film ( They are much better on screen with the visuals ):

Fun little song with Kate Hudson ( one of those celebrities who I thought was just OK in films, but when I saw her in person, I was impressed ) expressing her love for Cinema Italiano:

This song is haunting but true.  It’s so hard to understand filmmakers and entertainers unless you are one yourself.  We truly are a bunch of weirdos always living in a fantasy world, always thinking of new stories and absurdities to entertain others.  Marion Cotillard is amazing.  In NINE she plays Daniel Day Lewis’ wife, Luisa Contini, who is truly a tortured soul, knowing that she has to share the man that she loves with the insane world of film and entertainment:

I hear these are starting to air on ESPN, FOX SPORTS and some other sports channels.  As you can see I am probably the least featured character but at least I have on a freaking sweet sweater!  And in the hockey one I have a super sweet beard!

In real life, I’ve been on a bad run at the Poker table lately and there have been some ridiculous bad beats:

HAND 1:

I have A-3 of Diamonds on the Button.  I was playing the 3-5  No Limit table at Commerce Casino, buy in is $200.  I have about $500 in front of me.  Everyone limps in and there are 5 players.  The flop comes A-2-3 (rainbow).  I have top two pair.  The Big Blind bets $15 and I raise to $50.  Small blind calls the $50 and Big Blind pushes ALL-IN for $250 total.  I go into the Think Tank for a while and finally put him on something like A-K, possibly a set but I for sure don’t put him on pocket Aces and what are the odds that he has pocket 2’s or 3’s and the case 2 or 3 comes out on the flop?  So I call.  The small blind folds.  Big Blind flips over A-J.  I have him dominated.  The turn is a 5 and the river is a 5.  My crotch feels the mighty punch of the suckout.  This gives him two pair with a Jack kicker.  I lose.

HAND 2:

Two hands after that bad beat I still have about $250 left.  I pick up J-10 of Hearts.  The flop comes out Q-8-7 with 2 hearts!!!  I have the gut shot and flush draw.  I check and the button bets $20.  I call.  The turn comes the 9!  Now I have a the nut straight with a flush draw!  I check again and the button goes all in for $200.  I immediately call.  The river is a 7 and pairs the board.  My crotch is still sore as it is punched again by the power of the suckout.  He flips over Q-7.  Full House.  I lose.

HAND 3:

I was playing the $1-2 at Pechanga.  It’s an easygoing game and we’re all having fun.  Until this hand.  I pick up J-9 offsuit on the button.  Some guy makes it $5 two people call so I call as well.  The flop comes J-9-5.  Big Blind makes it $15 to go and i raise to $45.  He goes all in for about $150 and I immediately call.  Yep, he has Pocket Jacks dominating my two pair.  I lose.

HAND 4:

With about $100 left, still at Pechanga, I look down and see AK suited ( Clubs ).  Under the Gun straddles to $4 so I make it $24.  The small blind reraises me to $50.  I put him on pocket Queens or Jacks.  I call.  Flop comes K-5-5.  No clubs.  Small Blind looks at me and checks cautiously. I figure I outflopped him.   I go all in for $50 more and he insta-calls.  He has Pocket Aces.  No help on the Turn or the River.  I lose.

I guess I got outplayed on HANDS 3 and 4 but they were both very tough laydowns.  Hopefully things will turn around on my next Poker outing.  By then, my crotch should be recovered.
